The Executive Committee of Ipswich RFC are very pleased to announce that Drew Fautley has been appointed as Director of Rugby for the remainder of this season and for 2023-24.
The Director of Rugby role at Ipswich will be multi-faceted and will include planning, developing and implementing an inclusive playing and coaching strategy at all levels at Ipswich RFC.
Drew Fautley has over thirty five years of domestic and International coaching experience, including the World Sevens Series, the 2009 World Sevens Cup and 2009 World Games. He is a consummate professional who impressed the clubs leadership with his plan to further develop rugby throughout the entire club and create a professional platform for overall club growth. He is local to the club, living in Woodbridge. He will soon become a very familiar face around Humber Doucy Lane and at opposition grounds as he directs and supports the fabulous coaches and managers who run all our age grade and senior rugby activities at Ipswich RFC.
Drew will be introduced to everyone by the end of this season starting with senior training this Tuesday evening, April 11th. He will be very busy learning the ins and outs of what works at Ipswich RFC whilst compiling and initiating a plan to elevate everyone’s rugby experience at our very proud club.
