On Friday night, club President Peter Jordan hosted the annual President's evening event at Humber Doucy Lane.
With senior rugby enjoying a well-deserved rest week this weekend, after a full throttle start to the season, this was an opportunity to pay thanks to the club supporters, sponsors and volunteers who work tirelessly for our Ipswich Rugby community.
We were joined by the mayor of Ipswich John Cook, Suffolk RFU President Shelagh Tate and Eastern Counties RFU council representative Roger Pierson as well as many of the club's coaches, committee members past and present, and players to enjoy a relaxed evening in the company of friends.
Thanks to our recent fundraising efforts, we were delighted to present cheques to our charity partners East Anglian Children's Hospices (£2,000), East Anglian Air Ambulance (£1,750), Suffolk Mind (£922), St Elizabeth Hospice (£1,750) and Northampton Saints Foundation (£1,100). Thanks to everyone who has helped the club fundraise to help support these great organisations throughout recent times.
