Ipswich Rugby came together to remember the service and sacrifice of those who served for our country last Sunday.
See photos of the service in our Facebook post
We invited our community to join us to remember and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Colonel (Retd) Kelvin Ives, former commanding offer Suffolk AFC, ran the service.
Generations united to pay their respects, with both veterans and juniors present at the service. All junior rugby teams playing at home on the day gathered on Pitch 1 outside the clubhouse from 10.30am and each age group was issued a wreath to symbolise our collective gratitude and remembrance.
The service was impeccably observed by our youth, juniors and visitors from North Walsham U13s.
We observed a silence and heard The Last Post as we remembered those who sacrificed their lives for their country.
